Xiang Long was born in 1959. After his graduation from the Department of Sculpture at Che Chiang Fine Arts College in 1982, he went to France to conduct his Fine Arts research and exchange. He is now the Chairman and Professor of the Department of Sculpture at the China Academy of Arts. His prime memberships include member of China Artists Association, member of the China National City Sculpture Committee, Ministry of Construction, P.R.China, Executive Director of China Sculpture Institute and Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Artists Association.
